TIMING OF THE SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME:

Participants will be joining us from all over the world and from different time zones.
To make sure that everyone has access to the full scientific programme
at a convenient hour, registration will allow participants to join both
the LIVE PROGRAMME: April 7-10, 2022
and the PROGRAMME ON-DEMAND: March 29 - May 10, 2022

The "live programme" will be streamed live CEST time.
It will include Meet the Expert sessions,
interactive panel discussions, Q&A periods and Mentored Poster Walks.
It will also include some pre-recorded lectures that will be streamed live,
followed by their corresponding fully live Q&A period.

The “Programme on-demand” will be available by from March 29 to May 10, 2022.
It will initially include the pre-recorded components of the scientific programme.
It will be progressively enriched by the meeting’s live, interactive components which will be recorded real time during the meeting.

E-POSTERS
March 1 - April 13, 2022
The Poster Hall will also remain open until May 10, 2022.
The Mentored Poster Walk will be recorded real time.
It will thereafter become available within the Programme on-demand.

VIRTUAL EXHIBITION
March 29 - May 10, 2022
We invite you to visit the Exhibition area as of March 29, 2022.
Our corporate partners will be pleased to welcome and chat with you.

SATELLITE SYMPOSIA LIVE AND ON-DEMAND:
Symposia organized independently by our corporate partners, in conjunction with the ESH 8th Translational Research E-Conference on Myelodysplatics Syndromes, will also be available Live and On-Demand, as described above.

The E-Conference has been reviewed and approved for CME-CPD accreditation by EBAH.
The EBAH has approved this educational activity for a maximum number of 11 CME-CPD credits

About the E-Conference:

The 8th ESH TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH CONFERENCE ON MYELODYSPLASTIC SYNDROMES proposes a programme of leading-edge basic and clinical science, as well as opportunities for informal scientific interaction with a panel of global experts in the field.

It is open to an international audience of biologists and clinicians, including those still in-training. This translational research conference will bring together biologists and clinicians with an interest in Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) in order to explore the most recent advances in the understanding of the pathogenesis and clinical behavior of the disease.

New data will be presented on how to best apply these insights to the future of MDS therapy. Diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic issues will be presented by the faculty and ample time will be devoted to discussion with delegates.

CONFERENCE MAIN TOPICS:

• Disease Biology: The Genomics and its Consequences in MDS
• Disease Biology: Immune and Microenvironment Alterations and its Implications in MDS
• The Future of MDS Research
• When is MDS Really MDS, and When is it Really Bad MDS? Diagnosis and Prognosis
• Special Groups in MDS
• Treatment of MDS
• Current Progress in the Treatment of MDS
• Clinical trials in Europe and USA MDS consortium
• Late-Breaking Top News

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of this CME activity, participants should be able to:

• Learn how to optimally diagnose MDS, mainly by morphological analysis and cytogenetics,
but also through the use of new tools, mainly molecular analysis
• Improve ability to analyze prognostic factors, including new ones
(revised IPSS, molecular analysis)
• Review current treatment of MDS, in both the high risk and low risk settings, ranging from single follow up to allogeneic stem cell transplantation
• Acquire improved knowledge of emerging treatments, based on targeted therapies and well conducted clinical trials
