The purpose of this conference will be to provide an update on « gold standards » in the diagnostic procedures, evaluation of prognosis and treatment of all types of hematological malignancies. Therefore, procedures having shown their “robustness” and treatments having clearly demonstrated a benefit in outcome, rather than research procedures or treatments, will be emphasized. This symposium should be of particular interest to specialists treating haematological malignancies, including younger physicians. It may also suit haematologists from less economically developed countries who want to introduce only widely validated procedures and treatments.
