The European School has been dedicated to life long learning since its inception in 1986. Haematology is a strong and rapidly evolving scientific and medical discipline, driven by the rapid progress in medical science and information technology and bioengineering made over the last two decades,

Educational issues related to the harmonization of specialty training and to the accessibility of high quality CME for haematologists throughout the European Union and its associated states, are of primary importance for the future of European haematology. They impact on transfer of knowledge, mobility of specialists throughout Europe, and on the quality of patient care.

ESH has developed several self-learning tools to allow specialists to improve their skills at a time and place of their convenience. These include handbooks, lecture webcasts, slide banks, proceedings, and curricula. All ESH self-learning tools are freely available via this website.
